The Consulate General of Israel in San Francisco was honored to award four outstanding Bay Area nonprofits with our 2025 Social Impact Grant. This program provides $5,000 grants to local organizations dedicated to advancing meaningful change within their communities.
This year’s honorees are:
Alive & Free, an organization with a mission to keep young people free from violence and incarceration. Alive & Free offers a community of support to guide them on the path to college.
AWO, a social justice non-profit dedicated to unifying the diverse shades of humanity by providing a community space where people can share cultural narratives.
Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley, a foundation that seeks to improve the trajectory of Latino families in the Silicon Valley region by increasing the number of Latino professionals pursuing successful STEM careers.
Loved Twice, a non-profit that provides a year’s worth of clothing for newborns at risk. Loved Twice collects gently used baby clothing for mothers living below 200% of the national poverty level.
Last year, the program was focused on social impact organizations in Oakland.
The awardees were:

Oakland Genesis, a cost-free youth development program offering soccer and academic programs. Their programs include free access to soccer and professional coaching, academic support, college counseling and transportation. Oakland Genesis used the grant to fund their "Beyond High School” program.
MISSSEY works to stop the sexual exploitation of youth through preventative measures and by supporting those exiting exploitative situations. They work to address the root causes of sexual exploitation, including poverty and lack of resources. MISSSEY used the grant to help fund their monthly benefits navigation clinic, which helps young women and mothers learn about resources available to them such as food stamps and health care.
